The team USA will not miss out on their eighth Women's Lacrosse World Cup finals. Americans easily defeated England 20:3 in the semifinals on Thursday and confirmed their position of the hottest candidate for the gold medals.

USA - Ireland 22:5 (15:4)

Irishwomen were keeping up with Americans only in opening ten minutes when they even get to lead 4:3. Overseas players then called for a timeout, which was a turning point. They improved in all aspects and built a six goal advantage by series of quick goals. Ireland was down by eleven goals in the halftime and also second half was dominated by USA, who won the match 22:5. Both Cryer and Douthett helped team USA by four goals each and Cohen was the most active player of Ireland with three goals.
Australia - USA 9:10 (9:4)
WATCH FULL GAME ON LINE!
Beginning of the match belonged to Aussies. They led 5:0 after only fifteen minutes, what make the US take a timeout. Rest of the period was in Australian hands, who built up a five goal advantage and were heading to victory, like in the last World Cup. USA, like already many times this World Cup, managed to force themselves to incredible performance. Not only another timeout did not help, but also were Australians unable to stop Acicia Walker to equalize by her second goal in the match. After a game winning goal shot by Sarah Albrecht, MVP of the game, USA players guarded their lead 10:9 and did not let their opponents even touch a ball for last three minutes.
USA - Japan 26:12 (16:7)
Americans did not hesitate in their third match and defeated Japan 26:12 in a very offensive duel. USA made a noticeable advantage in early stages of the game, most active players were Lindsey Munday with six goals and Caroline Cryer with five strikes. Japanese were using every chance to attack and even repeatedly managed to push a ball behind goalkeeper's back through sometimes loose defense of their opponent. Akiko Wade scored four times.
USA - Canada 11:4 (3:4)

Duel between USA and Canada offered an exciting spectacle. The Maple Leaves Players splendidly entered the match and surprisingly led 3:1. Americans manages to equalize but the Canada led 4:3 at the end of the period.
However, that was all from Canadians and in the second half America completely took over the match. Americans squeezed Maple Leaves on their half of the field and did not let them to any chance, what was soon projected to score. They scored five times in last fifteen minutes, after two turning goals of Lindsey Munday. Canadians did not shoot any goal and lost the second period 8:0.

USA - England 17:8 (6:6)

England faced the USA in the second Thursday duel of the elite pool A. The first half offered fans a spectacular show, where the leadership went from one side to another. The score was 6-6 after the first half. However the second half was under American reign. They were send to lead by Katie Rowan's two quick goals at the beginning of the second half and the match was resolved after a natural hat-trick by Kirsten Kjellman.
